Hugo Weaving and Nicole Kidman were scheduled to costar in Eucalyptus in 2005, but the film was never actually made; it was infamously scuttled by Russell Crowe during the final stages of pre-production. However, Weaving and Kidman did costar in the 1989 miniseries Bangkok Hilton. Also, according to some industry reports, Guy Pearce has been replaced by Joseph Fiennes.
